 It's time to stop and smell the flowers...

luckily they are close to home.   Our French lavender, Grosso, is blooming now.  Don't forget we are open during the week if you can't make the weekend. We are open until July 6th 9-5 everyday.  Our supplies of lavender are beginning to dwindle so don't dally.  After July 6th, check back on the web-site about a re-bloom which happens in August and lasts through September.  Thanks to everyone who visited this season and joined in our festival dates--we really enjoy meeting and getting to know all you "lavender people."  Mom and I always say we have the most kind and interesting customers in the world.

Mother and daughter, Edith and Deborah Williamson, are proprietors of Seven Oaks Lavender Farm and have been raising lavender for six years.  We are located in the town of Catlett in beautiful Fauquier County in Northern Virginia (about 55 min west of Washington, D.C.).  Learn more about the farm by choosing from the menu on the left or print out our full-color brochure for the 2008 season. 

The farm has a historic home builit in 1860 and is situated on acres of beautiful countryside surrounded by large ancient oak trees.  Seven Oaks farmhouse pre-dates the Civil War and sits on the edge of the official battlefield of the Battle of Auburn I and II and will soon be part of a local historic district.  A gray Cape Cod on the hilltop, adjacent to the historic home, offers a shaded porch to sit and dream with a lavender view.

Remember us when you are choosing a location for a family or special portrait.  Call ahead to arrange details.  Honestly you won't find a better setting.  Check our links area for a list of talented local photographers.  We are also available for painting classes and photographers as long as they are willing to take home one bouquet of lavender.
